Special Ministries - 1488 audio tapes were sent to Baptists who are blind and visually impaired.
- Twenty-six people and one seeing eye dog attended the Baptist Fellowship Retreat for people who are blind and visually impaired.
- One complete set of the bible in Braille (18 large volumes) was given away.
- Thirteen profession of faith were made at a camp for Deaf middle school and high school students.
- Thirty-three Deaf men and women served as counselors at the Deaf youth camp.
- Seventeen Deaf Baptists attended the Tri-State Deaf School of Theology – a Deaf extension program of Gardner-Webb University.
- Twenty-Two people went with the Tri-State Deaf School to Israel to study the place where Jesus lived.
- 115 churches in North Carolina had a Deaf ministry of one kind or another. Two of those churches have crucial ministries to the Deaf students at the Morganton and Wilson residential Deaf schools.
- North Carolina sent a team of eleven people to do Deaf ministry in Honduras. Only one of that group was hearing.
- Over eight hundred people attended the five sessions of Happiness Retreat last year. This is the largest series of retreat for people with Developmental Disabilities in all of Southern Baptist life.
- 15,000 free bulletin inserts celebrating Special Education Sunday were given away in 2007.
- Over 185 Baptist churches in North Carolina have Special Education ministries.
- 688 Literacy Missions teachers taught 2,340 students in over 100 ministry sites last year resulting in 71 professions of Faith. Most of these professions of faith came out of the 52 English as a Second Language ministries that are scattered all over North Carolina.
- 204 hours of Literacy Missions training was done preparing people to teach internationals and to tutor children in school.

- There are approx 180 language groups in the NC school systems. We have language ministries in 33 languages.
- There are more than 500 multi-cultural language ministries in NC.
- There are approx 800,000 Hispanics in NC. We have approx one Hispanic church for every 6,000 Hispanics in our state.
- There are 8.3 million people in NC and over 4 million of those are unchurched
Church Planting offers: - Basic Church Planter Trainings for new church planters in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Laotian languages.
- Church Planting Networks to increase our effectiveness as planters support and learn from one another. We have four networks in our state with a goal to have seven by the end of 2007.
- Church Planting Forum to further equip our church planters with breakout sessions. Our first was held in March 2007 with approximately 150 attendees.
- VIP (Vision, Inspiration, Prayer) – Our first Asian event was held in January 2006 with a goal to cast the vision for the need of additional Asian church plants in our state and how these leaders of Asian churches can join us in this effort.
